Part of Upton St Joesph's PTA fund raising, was running regular events within the school hall, such as dances, quiz nights, school discos etc. They identified that a large proportion of their expenses for the events was the hiring of a disco. After some enquiries, a large amount of disco sound and lighting equipment was donated by parents and friends of the school. Over Audio, were asked to evaluate the donated equipment, including full PAT testing and servicing of the equipment. A plan was then formulated, together with the sourcing of additional ex demonstration and used equipment, to install a permanent installation. As the hall was being used as a gymnasium, careful consideration of product placement was made, to prevent damage to both equipment to both equipment and hall users alike
The end result was an effective low cost solution, for when budgets are tight.
